Project title: “Bridges of Trust and Cooperation: Building Post-COVID Resilience in Children in Central Bosnia Canton as a Tool for Building Security and Trust”

About the project: One hundred students from ten primary schools in Bugojno, Busovača, Fojnica, Jajce, and Divičani will participate in a cycle of 5 workshops this school year, where they will learn about methods and approaches for mental health care. Teachers, parents, and school staff will also be involved in the learning process. The Genesis Project team will also develop a manual with a detailed explanation of workshops that can be replicated at any school and with any group of children and young people. Students and teaching and professional staff participating in this project will also contribute to the creation of the manual, and the manual will be free and available online on the Genesis Project website.
All activities of the project “Bridges of Trust and Cooperation” are supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth, Culture and Sports of Central Bosnia Canton, and it involves primary schools:
- “Berta Kucera” and “13. Rujan” in Jajce,
- “Busovača” and “Kaćuni” in Busovača,
- “Jajce” in Kruščica and “Braća Jezerčić” in Divičani,
- “Muhsin Rizvić” and “Ivan Goran Kovačić” in Fojnica and
- the First Elementary School Bugojno and the Third Elementary School Bugojno.
Project goal: To reduce the undesirable consequences of the pandemic on children and young people and to build their resilience to stressors.
