Dijana Pejić, the Executive Director of the Genesis Project, participated in the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day in Brussels

Today, the European Commission and the European Executive Agency for Education and Culture (EACEA) organized the Erasmus+ Sport Info Day in Brussels to inform individuals and organizations about the upcoming program and funding opportunities in 2024. We are pleased to announce that this year, the Executive Director of the NGO Genesis Project, Mrs. Dijana Pejić, is participating in this highly significant event.

Speakers will share advice with attendees on preparing and submitting proposals, as well as on the financial aspects of funding future projects. Participants will also have the opportunity to network and connect with potential partners. The Erasmus+ program provides an excellent opportunity to establish collaboration and promote the activities of the Genesis Project to interested partners.

Promoting sports and education through sporting activities to achieve integration, social inclusion, strengthening the capacity of youth, and all the values that can bring benefits to the community are of great importance. One of the activities we carry out for this purpose is Football3 for Peace in collaboration with the UEFA Foundation for Children. Football3 is a methodology that promotes peaceful conflict resolution, diversity, intercultural understanding, gender equality, peacebuilding, children’s rights, and social inclusion. Its goal is to unite youth from different ethnic/religious/national groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina, using football as a universal language. In addition to organizing football activities within this program, educational sessions on social issues are also implemented. Various groups, including girls and marginalized communities, are involved to promote inclusivity.

Tournaments organized within the Football3 academy highlight not only sports skills but also social values and teamwork. Through these activities, we have reached over 20 elementary schools and 3000 girls and boys across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
