From Banja Luka to the Entire Region: UPSHIFT – Youth Innovation with the Erasmus+ Signature

On Monday, August 4th, Genesis Project, a member of the Human Rights House Banja Luka, opens its doors.

  • Where: Genesis Project, Kalemegdanska 20, Banja Luka

  • When: August 4th at 10:30 AM

Genesis Project, an organization with over 25 years of experience working with youth, is leading an international consortium for the first time this year within the Erasmus+ program: UPSHIFT brings together partners from BiH, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Albania to empower 200 young leaders.

Why Attend This Event?

  • Exclusive: Conduct interviews with young people who will soon travel to the regional training in Zagreb and who already have experience with the UPSHIFT program in BiH.

  • Innovation: Find out how UPSHIFT combines digital skills and social innovation.

  • Regional Reach: Over 200+ participants in Zagreb, Sarajevo, and Skopje.

This is the first time that a local organization from Banja Luka is leading an international consortium gathering partners from BiH, Croatia, North Macedonia, and Albania, with the aim of offering young people concrete tools for solving problems in their communities, with the help of mentors, digital skills, and social innovations. UPSHIFT merges non-formal education, digital literacy, and mentorship to offer youth tangible tools for creating positive changes in their communities. Regional UPSHIFT focuses on: digital skills, social innovation, and active citizenship!

Why You Must Not Miss This?

  • Because UPSHIFT changes the rules of the game when we talk about youth engagement, education, and local development.

  • Because this project combines education, digital literacy, and civic activism in a unique and applicable way.

  • Because an international initiative is being led right here from Banja Luka, which will bring together more than 200 young people through regional workshops and training in Zagreb, Sarajevo, and Skopje.

  • Because this is an opportunity for the media to be the first to find out what local leadership looks like in international projects and how a local story becomes a regional example…

Through the regional, Erasmus+ UPSHIFT, we will empower more than 200 young leaders, equip them with digital skills, educate them on social innovations, and provide them with mentorship support to solve real problems in their local communities. Come meet the Genesis Project team, hear stories from other UPSHIFT workshop participants, share your experiences with fellow UPSHIFTers and the journalists present, and let’s discover together how we are creating a network of knowledge, peace, and cooperation among youth across the entire region from Banja Luka!

We will socialize with juice and snacks, and we have prepared nice promotional gifts for you.

We kindly ask the media to confirm their attendance by 02.08. to the email genesis@blic.net.
