Project: “Empowering Local Voices for Sustainable Peace in BiH”
The Genesis Project organization officially launches the implementation of the project “Empowering Local Voices for Sustainable Peace in BiH,” which is being carried out in six local communities across Bosnia and Herzegovina: Tešanj, Teočak, Zvornik, Ugljevik, Jajce, and Žepče. The project aims to strengthen the capacities of youth and local actors through a combination of social cohesion research and digital storytelling.
Through this project, we are jointly building more resilient communities and strengthening local voices to contribute to peace and better connection among citizens.
WHAT IS A LOCAL ACTION GROUP (LAG)?
Local Action Groups are informal bodies that bring together young activists, representatives of local communities, civil society, and everyone who wants to contribute to positive change in their community.
Each group will have 15 members, and members will participate in the project through:

Training on social cohesion and conducting local research

Conducting surveys in their community using the Social Cohesion Barometer tool

Creating short films through the Short Film School – telling local stories from your community

Participating in project events, screenings, and advocacy activities
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Youth (aged 18–30), activists, and anyone who wants to contribute to their community

Representatives of civil society, education, and local communities

Individuals who want to develop skills in research, analysis, and digital storytelling
WHAT DO YOU GET?
