Working meeting of the Network for Building Peace with civil society organizations

More than 20 representatives of civil society organizations from Banja Luka and Prijedor attended a working meeting of the Network for Building Peace, where key issues concerning civil society organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina were discussed, with a special focus on limited resources, administrative obstacles, and a general lack of state support, as well as facing obstacles related to finding adequate donors.

In addition to the members of the Network for Building Peace, the meeting was also attended by organizations that are not members but could become so in the future. Representatives from the following organizations attended the meeting: Perpetum mobile, Genesis Banja Luka, Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Banja Luka, U.G. Srce na dlanu, Capital portal, Udružene žene Banja Luka, UDAS, IMPULS portal, ONAX agency, U.G. Zaštita potrošača Prijedor, LEGIT agency, Dajte nam šansu zvjezdice, Center for Environment, and a representative of the startup QUO room.

The discussion included practical advice on writing project proposals, identifying appropriate donors, and project management. Furthermore, ways to strengthen mutual cooperation and support among organizations were considered to increase the efficiency and impact of the civil sector.

The Network for Building Peace used this meeting as an opportunity to present its future plans and goals, which referred to the topics of digitalization of project activities, expanding socially responsible action across the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as connecting the non-governmental sector and elevating its activities to a higher level.

This meeting represents an important step towards strengthening the network of non-governmental organizations and their better coordination in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of improving their work and achieving common goals.
