Not all birds are fliers. Some are the swimmers too. Among the swimmers is the Penguin Georges too. And how the swimmer Georges coped being among the flying birds, the pupils of the primary schools in the Middle Bosnia Canton will find out soon from the show prepared by the NGO Genesis Project in the continuation of the project “Bridges of trust and cooperation.”
The project, which has been implemented since May this year by the NGO Genesis Project, sponsored by the German Foundation SHL in the primary schools of the Middle Bosnia Canton was continued with the start of the new school year and is bringing new activities and subjects. Among other things, an educational play has been preparedfor the primary school pupils,”Not all of us are fliers”, through which the pupils in the lower grades of the primary schools will meet the penguin Georges and his friends, and the pupils in the higher grades will discover the secret from the bottom of the well through the play “Who owns the well.”
In the continuation of the project, which will last until April 2017, during this school year the teachers and parents will also be educatedthrough interesting interactive workshops.
The workshops will be based on the training aimed at developing the social skills and ethnic tolerance, followed by education on the peaceful resolution of the conflict prevention, the promotion of diversity and intercultural understanding, respect for the rights of children and social inclusion, development of the communication skills and the development of the peer education skills and methodology.
As a result of this two-year project the increase of the level of cooperation between the family and schools is expected, the peer education affirmed and accepted as a method of education, the communication skills improved and peaceful conflict prevention and the multi-ethnic cooperationintensified.
