A one day seminar “Practical application of the Rules of Procedure in cases of violence in schools” in the primary schools of the Central Bosnia Canton, was held at the “Central” hotel, in the Vitez Franchise center.
The seminar was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Central Bosnia Canton, representatives of the elementary schools of the Central Bosnia Canton, police, social welfare centers, preschools and other relevant institutions.
Deputy Minister in charge of the relevant Ministry, Professor Zoran Matosevic spoke about the role of the protocol in the schools and the need for its practical application.
What violence is, what the causes and consequences of violence are and which prevention programs exist, was explained by lecturer Ivana Zecevic, doctor of psychological sciences.
The participants were also addressed by Professor Sulejman Ribo from the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Central Bosnia Canton, and all participants were awarded certificates.
The seminar was organized by the humanitarian organization “Genesis Project” from Banja Luka within the “Support Mechanism for Violence Prevention and SALW Risk Reduction” project which has been implemented under the auspices of the UNICEF BiH and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency from the 1st July last year in six municipalities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the cooperation with relevant ministries.
