Lecturers and teachers who took part during the last two years in the “Safe environment for children in segregated schools of Central Bosnia Canton” – sustaining the change” project , which has been implemented by the Genesis Project, were awarded certificates which acknowledged their engagement and work within the project.
Within this project five seminars for teachers and counselors were held.
In them, the participants were presented with the so far results of the project and publications made in cooperation with the Ministry responsible, and workshops and lectures were implemented. The seminars were attended by teachers and counselors from sixteen schools organized according to the “two schools under one roof” principle.
This project, which involves sixteen schools from the Central Bosnia Canton, Genesis Project has been implementing since 2009 with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
The project is focused on building a safe and stimulating environment for children and consists out of workshops with teachers and children, and educational puppet shows for children.
For implementation of this project, which will last until February 2014, the Genesis Project has received support from the German foundation Stiftung Schüler Helfen Leben, UNICEF BiH and the U.S. Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
