Humanitarian organization “Genesis Project”, as a technical partner of UNICEF, continued the implementation of activities related to the Program of Secondary Prevention focused on the identification and protection of children from risk factors in primary schools in Una-Sana Canton and Hercegbosna County.
In the period from October 15 to December 1, in order to introduce the Program of secondary prevention and exchange of knowledge and skills needed for effective identification and support of children at risk, the trainings were held in eight primary schools in the Hercegbosna Canton. Through these trainings, a total of 254 teachers and representatives of school professional services were trained.
The trainings were held by three experts from the area of the Hercegbosna Canton, two pedagogues and one psychologist. All experts underwent a two-day training, during which they had the opportunity to get acquainted in detail with the Program of Secondary Prevention and the instruments used within this program.
The trainings were organized according to the already established plan, with respect for all hygienic-epidemiological measures, and the number of people gathered indoors was respected. Along with the lecturers and representatives of the Genesis Project, up to 25 participants were present at the trainings. And due to the worsening epidemiological situation, all trainings planned for the month of November were continued online.
We still have to organize the training in the “Ivan Goran Kovačić” Primary School in Livno and with that training we end with the trainings of teachers in the primary schools of the Hercegbosna County.
According to the plan, from October 15 to December 15, 2020, a total of 58 trainings, 49 trainings in the primary schools of the Una-Sana Canton and nine trainings in primary schools of the Hercegbosna County will be organized.
