Project title: Short school of film and shooting of two educational films for the needs of the primary and secondary schools in Višegrad

Location: Višegrad (primary and secondary school)
Experts of the NGO “Genesis Project”, in cooperation with primary and secondary schools in Višegrad, will organize online educational workshops and online workshops for shooting of two short films aimed at educating children and youth about the value of natural and cultural heritage, with the aim of raising public awareness on sustainable use of water resources and conservation of biodiversity. Both films will be available to the general public on the Genesis Project YouTube channel and will be made available to schools for further use in student education.
The main goal of the project is to raise public awareness of sustainable use of water resources and conservation of biodiversity, through:
– Education of children and youth on the value of natural and cultural heritage;
– Education of children and youth on sustainable use of water resources;
– Education of children and youth on biodiversity conservation;
– Educating children and youth on the use of short films as a powerful activist tool that can change the awareness of the general public.
Activity 1. Interactive, educational online workshops with selected groups of students (20 workshops for 40 students from both schools). Topics that will be covered in educational online workshops are: the Drina River Basin and the values of natural and cultural heritage, sustainable use of water resources, conservation of biodiversity;
Activity 2. Evaluation of the effects of educational workshops on changes in the level of knowledge and attitudes of participants in educational online workshops (through pre-testing and post-testing with the aim of measuring the increase in the level of knowledge before and after online educational workshops);
Activity 3. Online short filming workshops (20 workshops for 20+ students from both schools);
Activity 4. Making two short, educational films on the topics: Drina River Basin and the values of natural and cultural heritage, sustainable use of water resources, conservation of biodiversity. The films will be made by professionals but with the contribution (in ideas, shots, parts of the script) of the students / participants of the online workshops;
Activity 5. Donation of laptops and HD cameras to each school, along with recorded films, which will become the property of the school and will continue to be used in working with school students.
Activity 6. Media promotion of the project.
