LOCATION: Middle Bosnia canton
OVERALL GOAL: The overall goals of the project were to:
-Create safe school environments in 12 segregated schools through educational and pedagogical work in class communities.
-Educate direct beneficiaries about peaceful conflict resolution and communication skills.
-The objective was to motivate beneficiaries to organize joint actions.
The expected result(s) of the cooperation were:
-Schoolteachers were trained to implement hours of class community on project selected topics.
-Project beneficiaries adopted new knowledge and skills from plans and programmes for pedagogical work on the class community hours.
-Communication between segregated ethnic groups has improved.
Impact
Functional and operational delivery of educational contents from the official curricula.
-5000 pupils and 120 schoolteachers mastered communication skills and have been able to peacefully resolve conflicts.
-Decrease in the level of violence in the schools.
This project had the following geographical focus:
-Municipality Kiseljak, Middle Bosnia canton
-Municipality Busovača, Middle Bosnia canton
-Municipality Vitez, Middle Bosnia canton
-Municipality Fojnica, Middle Bosnia canton
-Municipality Jajce, Middle Bosnia cantonv In these 5 communities there are 6 divided schools which were targeted through this project.
