In primary schools across Sarajevo Canton, Una-Sana Canton, Herceg-Bosnia County and the Republic of Srpska, students can now simply and quickly learn about their rights, responsibilities and the role of schools’ expert staff. Through the campaign “I sail straight and in a healthy way, because that is my right”, large posters with QR codes were placed in schools, which enable access to information from the Convention on Children’s Rights. On the pages of the campaign, there are also explanations of the services and help offered by professional associates such as pedagogues, psychologists, social workers, special education teachers, etc. The materials of this campaign are available at the following links:
The humanitarian organization Genesis Project and the Society of Psychologists of the Republic of Srpska in partnership with UNICEF in BiH and with the financial support of the Government of Sweden and the Swiss Development Agency are conducting a campaign on the importance of knowing children’s rights. All activities of this project are supported by the relevant ministries of education. During the campaign, an informative documentary movie “I sail straight and in a healthy way, because that is my right” was filmed, in which children and schools’ expert staff share their knowledge and views on children’s rights.
During the campaign, the schools’ expert staff participated in the two-day seminars that further encouraged them to implement activities aimed at protecting children’s rights in their schools.
