The Genesis Project representatives, Draško Stojčević and Ljubiša Vasić, participated in the “Jihlava for Kids” and Inspiration Forum programmes last week as part of the 24th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in the Czech Republic.
As part of the “Jihlava for kids” programme, the Genesis Project representatives held a workshop with children titled “How not to be afraid?” which was attended by about 30 children.
“Although there was a language barrier, the workshop was well received. The children actively participated and were very interested. To overcome the language barrier, we used pantomimes, and during the workshop we were greatly assisted by Predrag Duronjić, a young man from Derventa who lives in Jihlava, ”said Draško Stojčević.
As part of the Inspiration Forum, the audience of this festival became more familiar with the work of the Genesis Project, some of the one-minute movies made by children from BiH were shown, and then a discussion of the topics covered in movies was opened.
“The audience interest in Jihlava has exceeded our expectations. The attendees had many questions about the phenomenon of “two schools under one roof”, our experiences in working with children and the like, “said Ljubiša Vasić.
